Le doublé de Toyota Racing à Barcelone offre le titre Constructeurs au clan japonais. Du côté du classement Pilotes, la victoire de Sébastien Buemi - Ryo Hirakawa - Brendon Hartley permet à l'équipage de la Toyota n°8 d'aborder la finale de Monza avec un avantage de 17 points sur leurs équipiers Nyck de Vries - Kamui Kobayashi - Mike Conway.
