Après Sebring et Portimao, et avant Spa-Francorchamps dans moins de deux semaines, le championnat WEC donne une première hiérarchie dans les différentes catégories. Toyota Gazoo Racing, United Autosports et Corvette Racing sont à la fête en ce début de saison et d'autres sont déjà dans la zone dangereuse.
